Meet Our Track and Field Coach

The number one goal at ORANGE COUNTY TRACK CLUB, LLC, in Anaheim, California, is to advocate for our clients, develop our employees, and to build value within our company. Everyday our team works hard to serve our members to the best of our ability.

A Word From Our Founder, President &  Coach David Sharp

In my first year as assistant coach as cross-country and Track & Field at Western High School I work with the Head Coach Red Clark.

A former Cerritos College athlete himself, he is better know as "David," and was a two - year Letterman in both cross - country and Track & Field. He specialty was the 5000 meters and he went on to earn the team' most Improved Runner.

While at Norwalk High School, David was a two - year Letterman on the cross - country and Track & Field team. I was selected his team's most valuable performer for cross - country. After Graduating from Cerritos College with an A.A. in physical education, I moved onto Fullerton College with an A.S. degree in physical education / fitness. I moved onto the Universty of Phoenix with a B.S. degree in human service. I moved onto American Public University with a M.S. degree in sports management. I ran 1989 USA National Cross Country Championship. I ran in 1989,1990, 1991, 1992, 1993,  Biola University Cross Country Invitational at La Mirada Park. My best time in 1993 at Biola University Cross Country Invitational was 26:55 for 8k (5 miles). In 1992 Cal State Fresno Invitational Cross Country at Woodwark Park 10k 36:40. I also did 12 marathons, and my best time in the Orange County Marathon 1991 was 3:17:23. I got seventh place in my division. Me and my wife Gina, reside in Anaheim.

  • NFHS coach certification accredited interscholastic coach level 1 (ALC).
  • NFHS coach certification certified interscholastic coach level 2 (CLS).
  • Certified First Aid & Adult CPR Through The American Red Cross.
